Made during the last weeks before the Visual Resources Centre's closure at Manchester School of Art
As Adopt A Slide put it, the Visual Resources Centre (VRC) was “an archive that documents a century of teaching practice within the art school, not just in the range of images it contains but in the way they have been organised, categorised, labelled and used – in the materiality of the artefacts themselves”.
No slide images of the VRC itself had been made since the 1970s; by capturing it in the archaic medium it housed, this collection of slide photographs by its nature rendered the VRC as historic.

Thanks to the VRC's curator John Davis for his support in the development of this work.
