Free Workshop – Visual Toolkit Making for Group Facilitators with Olivia Glasser
Tuesday, 27 June 2023
16:30  18:05
Make your own visual toolkit for creative facilitation!
Do you facilitate sessions with groups? Join us for a free workshop with artist and educator Olivia Glasser.
Using found imagery from magazines, create your own complete set of cards, for facilitating engaging and creative sessions with the groups you work with. Picture cards provide participants with an open-ended set of prompts for meaning-making and self-expression and are a great tool for icebreakers, group discussion and evaluation.
Each participant will leave with a hand-made box of facilitation cards unique to you and the groups you work with. All materials will be provided and are sustainably sourced or recycled, but please feel free to bring your own magazines along, too.
This is a free intimate workshop designed especially for educators, social practitioners and group facilitators, so please make sure to book your place in advance using this link.
Listen back to Meet Me at Art Assembly!

I joined comedian Russell Kane and writer/theatre-maker Testament, at HOME in Manchester for a live recording of Art Fund's award-winning podcast Meet Me at the Museum.
This special edition – 'Meet Me at Art Assembly' – was dedicated to the festival and also featured participating artists Raheel Khan, David Blandy and Sally Gilford. Showcasing excerpts from 'Respawn', a video work co-created with Plymouth Grove Year 5s, live on stage, I also shared my thoughts on the theme ‘City as Art School’, along with some of my collaborators.
Art Assembly was a one day festival advocating art and creativity for all ages,
brought to you by Art Fund with Castlefield Gallery, HOME, Manchester Art Gallery, The Whitworth and The Manchester College.
